Offre de post-doc au LPGP – Laser driven acceleration of electrons in plasmas

Post‐doctoral position in plasma physics – Laser driven acceleration of electrons in plasmas The CNRS‐LPGP invites applications for a postdoctoral research position for 2 years in the area of laser plasma acceleration of electrons. The position is based at the Laboratoire de Physique des Plasmas (Orsay, France, http://www.lpgp.u‐psud.fr/). The objective of the work is to design high gradient plasma accelerating structures in the frame of the European design study Eupraxia, http://www.eupraxia‐project.eu/.
Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must have a PhD in physics, with experience in
experimental techniques. A successful candidate should have the ability to produce high quality research in a collaborative environment.
Preferred Qualifications: Expertise with ultra‐intense laser plasma interaction, laser guiding, discharge plasmas, electron acceleration in plasmas, is desired. Ability or experience in writing publications or reports is also preferred.
To Apply: Please submit a cover letter, Curriculum Vitae, research statement and two letters of reference. Review of applications will begin February 2016 and continue until an acceptable candidate is found. Questions or requests for further information on the position should be directed to Dr. Brigitte Cros
